JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE MARCH 2018

Current Account

In Japan March 2018, the current account increased 809 billion yen; resulting in a surplus of 1,772 billion yen over February 2018.

 

In March 2018, Japan reported

  • a net international trade (goods and services) surplus of 328 billion yen,
  • a primary income surplus of 1,609 billion yen, and
  • a secondary income (transfers) deficit of 165 billion yen.

  

 Trade Balance

  

In March 2018, Japan 's net international trade (goods and services) increased 646 billion yen; resulting in a surplus of 328 billion yen,

Goods exports increased 50 billion yen to 6,561 billion yen, goods imports decreased 731 billion yen to 6,071 billion yen, net international goods trade increased 781 billion yen; resulting in a  surplus  of 490 billion yen.

Net international services trade decreased 135 billion yen; resulting in a deficit of 162 billion yen over February 2018.
