April 17, 2018UK UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, DECEMBER TO FEBRUARY 
The UK Office for National Statistics reported today that the unemployment rate for the three-month period December 2017 to February 2018 was 4.2 per cent. This is down from the rate of 4.7 per cent reported for the same months a year ago.
There were 1.42 million unemployed people, 16,000 fewer than the period September to November 2017, and 136,000 fewer than for a year earlier.
Employment was at 32.26 million, 55,000 more than in September to November 2017, and 427,000 more than for a year earlier.
