JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE FEBRUARY 2018

Current Account

 In Japan February 2018, the current account decreased 999 billion yen; reporting a surplus  of 1,024 billion yen over January 2018.

 

In February 2018, Japan reported

  • a net international trade (goods and services) deficit of 308 billion yen,
  • a primary income surplus of 1,523 billion yen,
  • and a secondary income (transfers) deficit of 191 billion yen.

  

 Trade Balance

  

In February 2018, Japan's net trade (goods and services) decreased 742 billion yen; reporting a deficit of 308 billion yen.

Goods exports decreased 351 billion yen to 6,513 billion yen, goods imports increased 450 billion yen to 6,799 billion yen, and net goods trade decreased 801 billion yen; reporting a deficit of 285 billion yen.

 Net services  increased 59 billion yen; reporting a deficit of 23 billion yen over January 2018.
