In November 2017, the US goods and services trade deficit increased by $1.6 billion from October 2017 to $50.5 billion, the largest US trade deficit since 2012.
US goods exports increased by $4.4 billion and goods imports were up $6.0 billion, resulting in an increase in the goods trade deficit of $1.7 billion to $70.9 billion. Service exports increased $58 million while services imports fell $22 million, resulting in an increase of $80 million to the service trade surplus of $20.4 billion.
Year-to-date
The Jan-Nov 2017 the US trade deficit increased $53.4 billion to $513.6 billion. Year-to-date goods deficit increased by $49.7 billion and the services surplus decreased $3.7 billion.
