CANADA INTERNATIONAL MERCHANDISE TRADE OCTOBER 2017

 

In October 2017, Canadian merchandise trade (balance of payments basis, seasonally adjusted) posted a $1.5 billion deficit. 

Exports increased by 2.7 per cent from September 2017 to $44.5 billion and increased 0.8 per cent over October 2016. Imports are down 1.6% over September 2017 to $45.9 billion, and increased 0.9 percent over October 2016.

 

 

  

Year-to-date

In Canada Jan-Oct 2017, the total merchandise trade deficit reached $18.4 billion. Year to date goods exports were valued at $456.1 billion and year to date goods imports were valued at $474.5 billion.
