The Office for National Statistics' preliminary of the UK Gross Domestic Product for Q3 2017 is an increase of 0.4 per cent or 1.6 per cent at annualized rate, unchanged from the preliminary estimate. Services GDP increased by 0.4 per cent, manufacturing was up 1.1 per cent while construction (-0.9%) contracted for a second consecutive quarter.

Measured by expenditure category, household spending was up 0.6 per cent and government expenditures increased 0.3 per cent. Gross fixed capital formation increased 0.2 per cent with growth in dwellings and intellectual property products offsetting either no growth or declines in all other asset categories. Exports declined 0.7 per cent while imports increased 1.1 per cent.
