November 15, 2017TERANET-NATIONAL BANK HOUSE PRICE INDEX, OCTOBER 2017
Halifax home prices as measured by the Teranet-National Bank House Price were up 1.3 per cent in October 2017 compared to September 2017. The Halifax price level was 1.9 per cent above the October 2016 level.
For the month of October, the Teranet national index (composite of 11 cities) fell 1.0 per cent. In October, 5 out of 11 cities experienced increases.
Nationally, (Composite-11) house prices are 10.0 per cent above their levels in October of last year. The increase was led by Hamilton, Victoria, and Toronto.
Comparing the first ten months of 2017 to the same period in 2016, Halifax home prices are up 2.1 per cent. Nationally, (Composite-11) house prices are 13.0 per cent above their levels in the first ten months of last year.
