September 13, 2017UK UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, MAY TO JULY 2017
The UK Office for National Statistics reported today that the unemployment rate for the three-month period May 2017 to July 2017 was 4.3 per cent. This is down from the rate of 4.9 per cent compared to the same months a year ago. The UK unemployment rate has not been lower since 1975.
There were 1.46 million unemployed people, 175,000 fewer than for a year earlier.
Employment was at 32.14 million, 379,000 more than for a year earlier.
