2016-224	Sep 13, 2016	Environment Act Environmental Assessment Regulations
Text of Order:

        The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Environment dated June 22, 2016, and pursuant to Chapter 1 of the Acts of 1994-1995, the Environment Act (the Act) , is pleased, effective on and after September 13, 2016, to:

         (a)        pursuant to Section 49 of the Act, amend the Environmental Assessment Regulations, N.S. Reg. 26/95, made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 95-220 dated March 21, 1995, to provide additional regulatory clarity to the environmental assessment process for incinerators and thermal treatment facilities in the manner set forth in Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; and

         (b)        pursuant to Section 102 of the Act, amend the Solid Waste-Resource Management Regulations, N.S. Reg. 25/96, made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 96-79 dated February 6, 1996, to provide for thermal treatment facilities, in the manner set forth in Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation.
