BUSINESS/CONSUMER SERVICES-CONSUMER RELATIONS OFFICE TO MOVE
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The Department of Business and Consumer Services announced today
that its Consumer and Commercial Relations office in Yarmouth
will soon share an office with Access Nova Scotia.

As of Tuesday, June 3, Consumer and Commercial Relations will be
open for business at Suite 10, Centre Town Square, Yarmouth.
Because the move from the current location at 368 Main St. is
taking place during the day Monday, there may be minor
disruptions of service.

During the transition, customers can phone the Access Nova Scotia
office at 902-742-0750.

"This is another step toward our goal of providing single-window
service to Nova Scotians," said Sandy Jolly, minister of business
and consumer services. "Eventually, as we open our new government
service centres across the province, the majority of transactions
and services will be available under one roof."

The first three service centres will open this year in Kentville,
Dartmouth and Halifax. The department is also improving access to
information and transactions via telephone and the Internet.

Consumer and Commercial Relations offers a wide range of consumer
programs including debtor assistance, residential tenancies, and
consumer complaints and inquiries. It also aids consumers and
businesses in obtaining licences and resolving disputes. Services
are offered in nine locations throughout the province.

The new mailing address for Consumer and Commercial Relations is
Suite 10, 328 Main St., Yarmouth, N.S., B5A 1E4. Customers can
also reach the office by phone at 902-742-0627 or by fax at
902-742-0019.
