HEALTH--NEW HOME FOR DARTMOUTH DRUG DEPENDENCY OUTPATIENT OFFICE

Drug dependency's outpatient services office, located on Portland
Street in Dartmouth, is relocating to Simpson Hall on Aug. 1.

Outpatients provides individual, family, marital and group
counselling to people affected by substance use or abuse.
Providing a full complement of services for the individual
affected by drug abuse as well as their family members helps to
facilitate the recovery of all those involved. The Dartmouth
office serves people in Dartmouth, Cole Harbour and parts of the
eastern shore.

The new site for this outpatient office is the fifth floor of
Simpson Hall, 300 Pleasant Street in Dartmouth. To access
outpatient services at Simpson Hall, clients should call
902-424-5623, the main line for drug dependency services in the
Central Region.

The Dartmouth outpatient office is moving to Simpson Hall to
provide a continuum of service delivery for people requiring
ongoing follow-up for detoxification, inpatient and day patient
services.

Outpatient services will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Monday through Friday at Simpson Hall.
