Bramber Beach Designation

made under subsection 5(1) of the

Beaches Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 32

O.I.C. 86-134 (February 11, 1986), N.S. Reg. 25/86


The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 15th day of January, A.D., 1986, pursuant to Section 5(1) of Chapter 6 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1975, the Beaches Preservation and Protection Act, is pleased to determine as a beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Bramber Beach, in the County of Hants, shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Office Plan No. E-15-7 marked Schedule “B” and described in Schedule “A”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.



Schedule “A”

“Bramber Beach”


All those two (2) certain lots, pieces or parcels of land situate, lying and being “Lands Lying Landward From The Mean High Watermark of Bramber Beach” in the County of Hants, Province of Nova Scotia shown as Parcel “A” and Parcel “B” on a plan of survey (Field Plot No. P-088/85) prepared by The Province of Nova Scotia, Department of Lands and Forests, Surveys Division, dated June 29, 1985, the said parcels of land being more particularly described as follows:


Parcel “A”


Beginning at Survey Marker No. 3, said Survey Marker No. 3 being placed on the top of the bank approximately 12' northeast of the mean high watermark (M.H.W.M.) of Minas Basin and being situate (by grid bearings referenced to the Nova Scotia 3° Modified Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 5, central meridian 64° 30' west longitude) N 05° 51' 46" W, a distance of 2,771.57' from Nova Scotia Coordinate Monument No. 11995 having co-ordinate values of N 16, 424, 045.62', E 18, 138, 250.66';


Thence northeasterly 88' more or less to a point being 100.00' from, and perpendicular to, the M.H.W.M. of Minas Basin;


Thence southeasterly following a line 100.00' from, and parallel to the M.H.W.M. of Minas Basin a distance of 1670' more or less to the intersection with the northwestern boundary of Highway No. 215;


Thence S 32° 48' 53" W, following the northwestern boundary of said Highway No. 215 a distance of 100' more or less to the M.H.W.M. of Minas Basin;


Thence northwesterly following the M.H.W.M. of Minas Basin a distance of 1,670' more or less to a point;


Thence northeasterly a distance of 12' more or less to the place of beginning.


Parcel “B”


Beginning at Survey Marker No. 1, said Survey Marker No. 1 being found on the top of the bank approximately 30' northeast of the mean high watermark (M.H.W.M.) of Minas Basin and being situate (by grid bearings referenced to the Nova Scotia 3° Modified Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 5, central meridian 64° 30' west longitude) N 62° 36' 26" W, a distance of 2,903.69' from Nova Scotia Coordinate Monument No. 11992 having coordinate values of N 16, 413, 868.24', E 18, 133, 106.33';


Thence northeasterly 70' more of less to a point being 100.00' from, and perpendicular to the M.H.W.M. of Minas Basin;


Thence northerly and easterly following a line 100.00' from, and parallel to, the M.H.W.M. of the Minas Basin a distance of 20,500' more or less to the intersection with the northwestern boundary of Highway No. 215;


Thence N 32° 48' 53" E, following the northwestern boundary of said Highway No. 215 a distance of 100' more or less to the M.H.W.M. of Minas Basin;


Thence westerly and southerly following the M.H.W.M. of Minas Basin a distance of 20,500' more or less to a point;


Thence northeasterly a distance of 30' more or less to the place of beginning.
