O.I.C. 81-293

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 19th day of February, A.D., 1981, pursuant to Section 2 of Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act, is pleased to:

 

                   (a)      constitute all that area of land situate at Dollar Lake, in the County of Halifax, owned by Her Majesty in the right of the Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial Park, the said area of land being described in Schedule “A” and shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Plan No. E-13-14 marked Schedule “B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, and

 

                   (b)     declare that the park shall be known by the name of “Dollar Lake Provincial Park”.



Schedule “A”


All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being at Dollar Lake, in the County of Halifax, Province of Nova Scotia outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Plan No. E-13-14 marked Schedule “B” attached hereto, which parcel is more particularly described as follows:


Beginning at a Crown Land Iron Post (C.L.I.P.) marked H-6442 set on the western shoreline of Dollar Lake and marking the northeastern corner of a parcel of Crown Land leased to the Boy Scouts;


From thence (by astronomic bearings derived from solar observations taken at points indicated on the aforementioned plan) N 89° 04' 16" W along the northern boundary of Crown land leased to the Boy Scouts, 2295.60' to C.L.I.P. H-6192;


Thence N 40° 09' 53" E, a distance of 11215.47' to C.L.I.P. H-6191;


Thence N 69° 23' 32" E, a distance of 1151.93' to C.L.I.P. H-6190;


Thence S 19° 37' 26" E, a distance of 6340.76' to C.L.I.P. H-1308;


Thence S 20° 25' 00" E, a distance of 586.08' to Crown Post H-1309;


Thence N 69° 35' 00" E, a distance of 120.78' to Crown Post H-1310;


Thence S 19° 55' 00" E, a distance of 840.84' to Crown Post H-1311;


Thence S 70° 35' 00" W, a distance of 1644.72' to C.L.I.P. H-1306;


Thence S 69° 28' 20" W, a distance of 1335.98' to C.L.I.P. H-1290;


Thence S 19° 55' 00" E, a distance of 2023.56' to Crown Post H-1289;


Thence S 32° 36' 57" W, a distance of 4228.49' to C.L.I.P. H-1294;


Thence S 69° 13' 03" W, a distance of 682.01' to C.L.I.P. H-1295;


Thence S 20° 51' 25" E, a distance of 2112.01' to C.L.I.P. H-1296;


Thence S 68° 35' 51" W, a distance of 1515.93' to C.L.I.P. H-1297;


Thence S 21° 03' 09" E, a distance of 2326.25' to C.L.I.P. H-1298;


Thence S 21° 03' 09" E, a distance of 1900.00' to a point;


Thence S 68° 10' 52" W, a distance of 3350.50' to a point;


Thence N 21° 03' 09" W, a distance of 5360.91' to C.L.I.P. H-1178;


Thence N 68° 10' 52" E, a distance of 1270.91' to C.L.I.P. H-1177 set on the western shore of said Dollar Lake;


Thence in a northerly direction following the various courses of the said western shoreline of Dollar Lake, a distance of 11590', more or less, to the place of beginning. 


The above described parcel containing 2446 acres, more or less.

O.I.C. 2019-258

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forestry dated August 8, 2018, and pursuant to Section 8 of Chapter 367 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Parks Act, is pleased, effective on and after September 30, 2019, to

 

(a)      designate Crown lands for addition to Dollar Lake Provincial Park, originally designated by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 81-293 dated March 10, 1981, [N.S. Reg. 24/1981,] as shown outlined in bold and shaded grey on the plan marked Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, which will increase the size of the park by approximately 394 hectares (973.6 acres); and

 

(b)      authorize the Minister of Lands and Forestry to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
