Significant revisions have been made to the Nova Scotia Sustainable Procurement Policy. The revised procurement policy takes effect October 1st 2016 and includes several new elements:

The objective of these guidelines is to maintain a high level of confidence in the procurement and contract administration process by ensuring that bidding is fair, equitable, consistent, efficient, and undertaken in an open and competitive manner.
