Located near South West Margaree, this relatively large natural forest patch is a mix of mature and old hardwood forest stands on steep slopes and canyons, and spruce-fir forest on narrow plateau ridges. Protection of the area helps represent Mason’s Mountain Natural Landscape in the protected areas network.

This area has potential for backcountry hiking/exploring.
