Wedgeport Wind Farm Project

Description

This is to advise that on June 26, 2012, AnaiaGlobal Renewable Energies (the Proponent) will register the Wedgeport Wind Farm Project for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to construct and operate a wind energy facility providing up to 50 MW of renewable energy to the provincial grid. The undertaking is proposed to be located in the vicinity of Black Pond Road, in the Municipality of the District of Argyle, Yarmouth County, NS.

Minister's Decision

On August 15, 2012, the Minister of Environment released a decisionPDF Download Link (PDF:137k) concerning this review.The Minister has determined that the registration information is insufficient to make a decision on the project, and additional information is required in accordance with clause 13(1)a of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act.
