Harrietsfield Williamswood Wind Farm Project

Description

This is to advise that on April 6, 2015, Watts Wind 4 L.P. registered the Harrietsfield Williamswood Wind Farm Project for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to develop three wind turbines, and to generate up to 4.8 Megawatt of power on private lands. The undertaking is located approximately 3 kilometers southeast of Harrietsfield and 2.5 kilometers northeast of Williamswood, Halifax Regional Municipality. The project is scheduled to commence in the fall of 2015 with operation expected in early 2016.

Minister's Decision

On May 26, 2016 the Minister of Environment released a decisionPDF Download Link (PDF:27k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act.
