Glen Dhu South Wind Power Project

Description

On January 26, 2012, Shear Wind Inc. registered the Glen Dhu South Wind Power Project for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to construct and operate an up to 80 MW Wind Power Project and a substation on privately owned lands located near Barney's River in Pictou County. Anticipated construction commencement is 2012.

Minister's Decision

This is to advise that on March 16, 2012 the Minister of Environment released a decisionPDF Download Link (PDF:127k) concerning this project review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act.
