Chebucto Terence Bay Wind Farm Project

Description

This is to advise that on October 22, 2014, Chebucto Terence Bay Wind Farm Ltd. registered an Addendum the Chebucto Terence Bay Wind Farm Project for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to develop three wind turbines to generate up to 7.2 MW of power on lands in the River Road area near Terence Bay to the southwest of downtown Halifax in HRM. Construction will commence in the fall 2014 with operation expected in the fall of 2015.

Minister's Decision

On December 11, 2014 the Minister of Environment released a decisionPDF Download Link (PDF:365k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act.
