Description
This is to advise that on August 30, 2013, Pockwock Wind Limited Partnership registered an Addendum
(PDF:6.6mb) to the Chebucto-Pockwock Community Wind Project Registration Document originally submitted on May 13, 2013, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.
The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to construct and operate a 10.0 MW wind project at a site in the community of Pockwock, approximately 25 km northwest of Halifax, Nova Scotia in Halifax Regional Municipality. Pending approval to proceed, construction is anticipated to commence Spring/Summer 2014 with operations to begin Fall 2014.
Minister's Decision
On October 30, the Minister of Environment released a decision (PDF:33k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act. The undertaking has been approved subject to a number of conditions (PDF:93k).
