Aulds Mountain Wind Farm

Description

This is to advise that on October 25, 2013, Natural Forces Wind Inc. will register the Aulds Mountain Wind Farm for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to develop the Aulds Mountain Wind Farm located in the Municipality of Pictou County, Nova Scotia. The project is located in Piedmont and will consist of two Enercon E92 wind turbines with a total rated capacity of 4.6 MW. Pending approval to proceed, construction is anticipated to commence Spring/Summer 2014 with operations to begin Fall 2014.

Minister's Decision

On December 16, the Minister of Environment released a decisionPDF Download Link (PDF:34k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act.
