Workplace Health and Safety Regulations (WHSRs) - Request for Public Comment

The Department of Labour and Advanced Education remains committed to listening to stakeholders and eliciting their input. We are reviewing all of the feedback received from our sessions last Fall in order to determine next steps and to ensure we get it right. Please see the attached letter from Deputy Minister Montgomerie for more details - Letter from DM Montgomerie

As part of our commitment to workplace health and safety. LAE is in the process of consolidating and amending 13 of the regulations under the authority of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. The revised regulations form the recently established Workplace Health and Safety Regulations (WHSRs). The WHSRs are meant to be more user-friendly, ensure consistency with national standards and as we sit it, improve workplace health and safety. We believe the key to that is working with stakeholders.
