Central Grove Provincial Park Designation

made under Section 8 of the

Provincial Parks Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367

O.I.C. 76-838 (July 13, 1976), N.S. Reg. 158/76


The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 15th day of June, A.D., 1976, and pursuant to Section 2 of Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act, is pleased to:

 

                (a)    constitute all that area of land including land covered with water owned by Her Majesty in right of the Province of Nova Scotia, situate at or near Central Grove, in the County of Digby, Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial Park, said area of land being described in Schedule “A” and shown on Schedule “B”, both attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; and

 

                (b)    declare that the park shall be known as “Central Grove Provincial Park”.

Central Grove Provincial Park


All that certain parcel, piece or lot of land situated lying and being at or near Central Grove, County of Digby, Province of Nova Scotia, being and intending to be Central Grove Provincial Park, as shown on Plan No. E-5-64, recorded at the Crown Lands Registry Office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax, being more particularly described as follows:


Beginning at Crown Land Iron Post (C.L.I.P.) D406 set on the northwestern boundary line of Nova Scotia Highway No. 217 at the southeasterly corner of lands of Walter Floyd and the southwesterly corner of land of the said Central Grove Provincial Park;


From thence N 44° 30' W along the said lands of Walter Floyd, distance 170.02 feet more or less to C.L.I.P. D407;


Thence S 50° 47' W along the said lands of Walter Floyd, distance 105.90 feet more or less to C.L.I.P. D408;


Thence in a northwesterly direction along a wire fence to a traverse hub, distance 394 feet more or less, the said hub being N 33° 02' W, distance 392.78 feet from C.L.I.P. D408;


Thence N 38° 17' W along the northeastern boundary of lands of the said Walter Floyd, distance 2034.53 feet more or less to C.L.I.P. D409;


Thence N 38° 17' W along the northeastern boundary of lands of the said Walter Floyd, distance 65 feet more or less to the mean high water mark of the Bay of Fundy;


Thence in a northeasterly direction following the many courses of the mean high water mark of the Bay of Fundy, distance 700 feet more or less to a point, the said point being N 38° 15' W, distance 70 feet more or less from C.L.I.P. D410;


Thence S 38° 15' E along the southwestern boundary of lands of Roy Cosseboom, distance 70 feet more or less to C.L.I.P. D410, the said C.L.I.P. D410, being 41° 21' E, distance 695.34 feet more or less from C.L.I.P. D409;


Thence S 38° 15' E along the southwestern boundary of lands of the said Roy Cosseboom, distance 1114.63 feet more or less to C.L.I.P. D411, set on the southwestern boundary of lands of the said Roy Cosseboom at the northerly corner of other lands of Clifton Prime;


Thence S 51° 45' W, along the northwestern boundary of other lands of the said Clifton Prime, distance 372.14 feet more or less to C.L.I.P. D412;


Thence S 38° 17' E, along the southwestern boundary of other lands of the said Clifton Prime, distance 1598.79 feet more or less to C.L.I.P. D413, set on the northwestern boundary line of the said Nova Scotia Highway No. 217;


Thence S 50° 19' W, along the northwestern boundary line of the said Nova Scotia Highway No. 217, distance 222.78 feet more or less to the place of beginning. The said certain parcel piece or lot of land containing an area of 28.9 acres more or less.
