August 26, 2016UK GDP Q2 (SECOND ESTIMATE)
The UK Office of National Statistics reported real GDP for the second quarter of 2016 grew by 0.6 per cent from the first quarter, unrevised from the preliminary estimate. Service and production industries showed an increase while construction and agriculture, forestry, and fishing fell. Compared to the second quarter of 2016, GDP increased by 2.2 per cent, also unrevised from the preliminary estimate. The Office of National Statistics noted that there was very little anecdotal evidence at present to suggest that the EU referendum has had an impact on GDP in the second quarter of 2016.
