CONSUMER PRICE INDEX JULY 2016

NOVA SCOTIA
In Nova Scotia July 2016, the consumer price index (2002=100) decreased 0.5% from June 2016 to 131.2 and increased 0.8% over July 2015.

The CPI, excluding food and energy, remained unchanged from June 2016 at 123.3, and increased 2.2% over July 2015.

CANADA
In Canada July 2016, the consumer price index (2002=100) decreased 0.2% from June 2016 to 128.9 and increased 1.3% over July 2015.

Core CPI remained unchanged from June 2016 at 128.6 and increased 2.1% over July 2015. The CPI, excluding food and energy, decreased 0.1% from June 2016 to 123.8, and increased 2.1% over July 2015.

HALIFAX
In Halifax July 2016, the consumer price index (2002=100) decreased 0.4% from June 2016 to 130.1 and increased 0.9% over July 2015.
