CANADA INTERNATIONAL MERCHANDISE TRADE DECEMBER 2015


In December 2015, Canadian merchandise trade (balance of payments basis, seasonally adjusted) posted a $585 million deficit. Over the last 48 months the accumulated deficit stands at $37.8 billion.

In December 2015, imports increased 1.6% over November 2015 to $45.9 billion, and increased 2.5% over December 2014. Over the last 48 months, imports have totaled $2.03 trillion. In December 2015, exports increased 3.9% over November 2015 to $45.4 billion, and increased 3.4% over December 2014. Over the last 48 months, exports have totaled $1.99 trillion.
