JAPAN CPI, OCTOBER 2015

 

Japan's consumer price index in October was unchanged for the second month in a row.  Compared with October 2014, Japanese prices for all items rose by 0.3 per cent.  The index for all items excluding food and energy (but including alcoholic beverages) was up by 0.8 per cent.   

(Note there was a 3 per cent sales tax hike implemented in April 2014).

Japan's food prices have risen 3.4 per cent over the last year, while energy prices have fallen by 11.9 per cent.
