April 17, 2015US CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, MARCH 2015 The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) increased 0.2 per cent in March on a seasonally adjusted basis. Over the last 12 months, the all items index declined 0.1 per cent (before seasonal adjustment). The energy index rose 1.1 per cent monthly and was down 18.3 per cent year over year (gasoline dropped 29.2% year over year). The food index was down 0.2 per cent monthly and up 2.3 per cent year over year. The Consumer Price Index for all items less food and energy rose 0.2 per cent month to month, and was up 1.8 per cent compared to a year ago.
