**ERROR** DO NOT POST NATURAL GAS OFFSHORE PRODUCTION, DECEMBER 2014

Since peak production in 2001-2002, Sable production has been declining. However the Deep Panuke field was brought into production in August 2013. Since then, total natural gas production is on the increase. In late October 2014, the Deep Panuke platform was shut down for "regularly scheduled maintenance".  Production  resumed in November.  Media reports: CBC1. CBC2.

In December 2014, the Deep Panuke offshore energy platform production was 162.1 million cubic metres of gas.
In December 2014, the Sable offshore energy platform production was zero cubic metres of gas. This followed a zero production month in November.




So, total production for the month was 162.1 million cubic metres of gas - up 174% over November 2014, and is 29.4 percent of total production in December 2001, the month of peak production. Year-to-date (Jan-Dec 2014) is 60.7% (3.3 billion cubic metres) of peak-year (Jan-Dec 2002) year-to-date (5.5 billion cubic metres).
