March 22, 2024UK RETAIL SALES, FEBRUARY 2024 The UK Office for National Statistics reports that UK retail sales value edged down and retail sales volume was flat in February 2024.
Month over month (February 2024 vs January 2024)
Retail sales values decreased by 0.1% and volumes (adjusted to remove the effects of price changes) were unchanged.
Internet sales increased by 2.1% and accounted for 25.7% of total retail sales.
Year-over-Year (February 2024 vs February 2023)
Retail sales values increased 2.3% while retail sales volumes decreased 0.4%.
Year-to-date (Jan-Feb 2024 vs Jan-Feb 2023)
Retail sales values increased 3.0% and retail sales volumes increased 0.1%.
