US TRADE BALANCE, JULY 2017

In July 2017, the US goods and services trade deficit increased by $146 million from June 2017 to $43.7 billion.

The goods deficit decreased by $21 million to $65.3 billion. Goods exports decreased $436 million to $128.6 billion. Goods imports decreased $457 million to $193.9 billion. 

There was a decrease of $167 million in the service trade surplus to $21.6 billion as exports declined $128 million while imports incresed $39 million. 

 

Year-to-date

The Jan-July the US trade deficit increased $28 billion to $319 billion.  Year-to-date goods deficit increased $30.5 billion and the services surplus increased $2.6 billion.
