US CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, JUNE 2017

The US Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers was unchanged in June from May, on a seasonally adjusted basis. In June, the energy index fell 1.6 per cent, led by a decline in fuel oil prices of 3.7 per cent and gasoline declines of 2.8 per cent. Food was unchanged and shelter rose 0.2 per cent month to month.

Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased 1.6 per cent before seasonal adjustment, down from 1.9 per cent year over year, last month. 

The index for all items less food and energy increased 0.1 per cent in June. For the 12-months ending in June, the index for all items less food and energy rose 1.7 per cent, the energy index increased 2.3 per cent, and the food index was up 0.9 per cent.
