JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE MAY 2017

Current Account

 In Japan May 2017, the current account decreased 407 billion yen to  1,401 billion yen surplus over April 2017.

 

In  May 2017, Japan reported a net international trade (goods and services)  surplus of 75 billion yen; a primary income surplus of 1,472 billion yen; and a secondary income (transfers)  deficit of 146 billion yen.

  

 Trade Balance

  

In May 2017, Japan's net trade (goods and services) decreased by 261 billion yen over April 2017, resulting in a diminished  surplus of  75 billion yen.

Goods exports decreased 52 billion yen to 6,174 billion yen. Goods imports decreased 59 billion yen to 5,905 billion yen.

Net goods trade surplus increased by 7 billion yen to 269 billion yen.  Net Services declined 268 billion yen resulting in a net services deficit of 194 billion yen over April 2017.
