US TRADE BALANCE, MAY 2017

May

In May 2017, the US goods and services trade deficit decreased by $1.1 billion from April 2017 to $46.5 billion.

The goods deficit decreased by $860 million to $67.5 billion. Goods exports increased $226 million to $127.2 billion. Goods imports decreased $635 million to $194.7 billion. 

There was an increase of $217 million in the service trade surplus to $21.0 billion.  

 

Year-to-date

The Jan-May trade deficit increased $27.1 billion to $233.1 billion.

Year-to-date goods and services exports increased $54.3 billion and year-to-date goods and services imports increased $81.4 billion
