June 14, 2017UK UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, FEBRUARY 2017 TO APRIL 2017 The UK Office for National Statistics reported today that the unemployment rate for the three month period February 2017 to April 2017 was 4.6 per cent. This is down from the rate of 5.0 per cent compared to the same months a year ago. The UK unemployment rate has not been lower since 1975.
There were 1.53 million unemployed people, 145,000 fewer than for a year earlier.
Employment was at 31.95 million, 372,000 more than for a year earlier.
