CANADA INTERNATIONAL MERCHANDISE TRADE APRIL 2017


In April 2017, Canadian merchandise trade (balance of payments basis, seasonally adjusted) posted a $370.3 million deficit. Over the last 100 months the accumulated deficit stands at $85.2 billion.

In April 2017, exports increased 1.8% over March 2017 to $47.7 billion, and increased 14.7% over April 2016. Over the last 100 months, exports have totaled $3.93 trillion.

In April 2017, imports increased 0.6% over March 2017 to $48.1 billion, and increased 7.4% over April 2016. Over the last 100 months, imports have totaled $4.01 trillion.
