In April 2017, the US goods and services trade deficit increased by $2.3 billion from March 2017 to $47.6 billion.
The goods deficit increased by $2.3 billion to $68.4 billion. Goods exports decreased $540 million to $126.9 billion. Goods imports increased $1.8 billion to $195.3 billion.
There was an decrease of $13 million in the service trade surplus to $20.8 billion.
Year-to-date
The Jan-Apr trade deficit increased $22.1 billion to $186.6 billion.
Year-to-date goods and services exports increased $44.3 billion and year-to-date goods and services imports increased $66.4 billion
