UK RETAIL SALES, APRIL 2017

The UK Office of National Statistics reports that in April 2017 retail sales (volumes based - seasonally adjusted) were up 2.3% over March 2017, and increased 4.0% over April 2016.

Retail sales (seasonally adjusted) value increased 1.9% over March 2017, and increased 7.1% over April 2016.

In April 2017, the amount spent online accounted for 15.6% of all retail (excluding automotive fuels) spending.  The value of the on-line sales increased 1.9% over March 2017, and increased 19.0% over April 2016.
