JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE FEBRUARY 2017

Current Account

 In Japan February 2017, the current account increased 951 billion yen to an improved 2,211 billion yen surplus over January 2017.

 

In  February 2017, Japan posted a net trade (goods and services)  surplus of 517 billion yen. The primary income surplus increased 518 billion yen to 1,900 billion yen; and the secondary income (transfers)  deficit increased 62 billion yen to 206 billion yen.

  

 Trade Balance

  

In February 2017, Japan net trade (goods and services) increased 495 billion yen over January 2017, resulting in an improved 517 billion yen  surplus.

Goods exports increased 270 billion yen to 6,410 billion yen. Goods imports declined 337 billion yen to 5,656 billion yen.

Net goods trade surplus increased 608 billion yen to 754 billion yen.  Net Services deficit increased 112 billion yen to 237 billion yen.
