EU RETAIL TRADE, DECEMBER 2016 and ANNUAL

  

DECEMBER

In December 2016, retail sales volumes (adjusted for price changes) decreased 0.3% over November 2016 in the Euro Area and by 0.8% in the European Union (EU28). Compared with December 2015, euro area retail sales volumes increased 1.1 per cent while EU retail sales volumes grew by 2.3 per cent.

In 2016, retail sales volumes (adjusted for price changes) increased 1.9% overr 2015 in the Euro Area and by 2.8% in the European Union (EU28).
