UK GDP Q4 (ADVANCE ESTIMATE)

The UK Office of National Statistics reported real GDP for the fourth quarter of 2016 grew by 0.6 per cent, the same rate as in the previous two quarters. That corresponded to a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 2.4 per cent growth. The service sector grew by 0.8 per cent while the production sector (all goods producing industries except for agriculture and water and sewage) remained unchanged as growth in electricity, construction, and manufacturing production was offset by declining mining and quarrying production.
