Services Available

Emergency Services Provider Fund

The Emergency Services Provider Fund (ESPF), administered by the Office of the Fire Marshal, offers financial assistance to volunteer fire departments and ground search and rescue organizations, including HAZMAT organizations, to upgrade equipment that is used directly in response to a fire or emergency.

The program provides up to 75 per cent of eligible costs to a maximum of $20,000. Organizations can only receive funding once every three years.

Who Can Apply?

We accept applications from organizations that have not received ESPF funding in the past two fiscal years, including:

  • volunteer fire departments
  • ground search and rescue organizations
  • HAZMAT organizations
  • volunteer first responder organizations

Key Dates

Applications for 2017-2018 are being accepted from April 21 to June 9 , 2017.
