CCWB Resource Guide

Community Child Welfare Boards (CCWB) serve as links between the community and the local child welfare services, and collectively, between citizens and the Minister of Community Services. They have a commitment to

  • advance the prevention of child abuse and neglect
  • assure the best interests of children
  • promote the integrity of the family
  • recognize and promote the preservation of childrens cultural, racial and linguistic heritage
  • work with other community and social services to prevent, alleviate and remedy the personal, social and economic conditions that might place children and families at risk
