Approved Community-based Homes
Community-based homes refer to residences that offer programs designed to meet the support needs of people with disabilities. The intention of the programs is to enhance each resident’s potential to live, work, and socialize in the least restrictive, most integrative circumstances available in the community.
Eligibility for the admission into a small option home is determined by a functional and financial assessment.
For more information on the program, or to learn how to apply, contact the nearest office of the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services.
