Fancy Lake Provincial Park Designation

made under Section 8 of the

Provincial Parks Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367

O.I.C. 85-226 (March 12, 1985), N.S. Reg. 52/85


The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 14th day of February, A.D., 1985, pursuant to Section 2 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act, is pleased to:

 

                (a)    constitute all that area of land situate at Fancy Lake, in the County of Lunenburg, owned by Her Majesty the Queen in the right of the Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial Park, the said area of land being described in Schedule “A” and shown outlined in red on the copy of Department of Lands and Forests Plan No. P-102/84, marked Schedule “B”, both Schedules being attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; and

 

                (b)    declare that the Park shall be known by the name of “Fancy Lake Provincial Park”.



Schedule “A”


All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being at Fancy Lake, County of Lunenburg, Province of Nova Scotia, said lot being shown on Plan No. P-102/84 on file in the Department of Lands and Forests Office at Halifax, Nova Scotia, said lot being more

particularly described as follows:


Beginning at Survey Marker No. L837 situated on the northwesterly boundary of the Conquerall Mills Road, said survey marker also being situated at the northeasterly angle of lands now or formerly claimed by John W. S. Baldwin;


From thence in a northeasterly direction along the northwesterly boundary of the Conquerall Mills Road following a curve to the right, an arc distance of 367 feet more or less to Survey Marker No. L836, said survey marker being N 33° 27' 15" E, 365.90 feet from the aforedescribed place of beginning;


Thence continuing to follow the northwesterly boundary of the Conquerall Mills Road N 42° 08' 14" E, 78.19 feet to Survey Marker No. L835 situated on the southwesterly boundary of a private driveway;


Thence following the southwesterly boundary of the private driveway N 58° 02' 27" W, 64.61 feet to Survey Marker No. L834, said survey marker being situated at the northeasterly angle of lands now or formerly claimed by Ruth Garber;


Thence following the easterly boundary of lands now or formerly claimed by Ruth Garber, S 27° 12' 29" W, 78.35 feet to Survey Marker No. L833;


Thence continuing to follow the easterly boundary of lands now or formerly claimed by Ruth Garber and also the easterly boundary of lands now or formerly claimed by Clayton Fancy, S 27° 12' 29" W, 55 feet more or less to the ordinary high water mark of Fancy Lake;


Thence in southwesterly direction along the ordinary high water mark of Fancy Lake, 340 feet more or less to the northwesterly angle of lands now or formerly claimed by the aforementioned John W. S. Baldwin;


Thence following the northerly boundary of lands now or formerly claimed by John W. S. Baldwin S 59° 29' 53" E, 5 feet more or less to Survey Marker No. L838;


Thence continuing to follow the northerly boundary of lands now or formerly claimed by John W. S. Baldwin, S 59° 29' 53" E, 58.69 feet to the place of beginning containing 0.40 acres more or less.


All bearings are referenced to an astronomic meridian passing through a point near the center of the above described lot.
